We would like to take you on an exciting journey and give you an insight into how Sternen-Schloss daycare came into being. Our story begins with a simple but powerful idea: to create the best for our children.
Roger Hängärtner, the current owner and managing director, is the father of two wonderful girls. Like many parents, he was looking for a daycare center that would meet his high standards. However, visits to various daycare centers were one disappointment after another. Staff shortages, overworked employees, frequent changes of caregivers and unmotivated staff who preferred to pay attention to their cell phones rather than the children were just some of the problems he encountered. Dark, cramped rooms with hardly any space for the children to develop and a lack of pedagogical implementation of concepts such as forest days added to the frustration. All of this made the search for a suitable daycare place a challenge.
But instead of being discouraged, Roger decided to take the problem into his own hands. Together with Alena Pfister, a long-time employee who understands the needs of parents and has a big heart for children, the idea of founding Sternen-Schloss daycare was born.
Our vision was clear: we wanted to create a nursery that would meet the highest standards and provide a loving, inspiring environment for children. Some of the key criteria of our nursery are:

We value our employees, pay them fair wages, offer sufficient vacations and organize team events to strengthen team spirit.

Planning and designing our rooms was a challenge, because anything that is not standard often meets with resistance. However, we remained true to our goal and developed a partially open concept that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere through carefully selected colors and materials. Our room layout makes it possible to cater to every child and take individual needs into account.
Our vision is to create a place where children feel safe and secure, where they can develop freely and learn through play. Parents should have the good feeling of knowing that their children are in the best hands and recognize the added value that childcare at Sternen-Schloss daycare offers.
